The BHV challenge

BHV is full of cycles. Trainiq keeps track of them.

A BHV Basic certificate is valid for one year. After that, a yearly Refresher keeps it valid. Add Team Leader and you have a second expiry cycle per participant. A mid-sized BHV provider soon has hundreds of live certificates at different stages, each with its own expiry date.

Trainiq records the issue and expiry date per participant per course type, and sends e-mail reminders automatically at thresholds you set (30, 7 and 2 days before expiry by default). Participants book their refresher straight from a link in that e-mail. Your dashboard shows how many people still need to act, so there is no Excel list to maintain any more.

What BHV providers usually ask us

Short answers to the most common questions about BHV administration.

What is the difference between BHV Basic, Refresher and Team Leader? +

A BHV Basic certificate is valid for one year. To keep it valid, the participant then takes a yearly Refresher, shorter and cheaper than the Basic course. Team Leader is a separate track: an additional course for whoever coordinates the emergency response team, with its own expiry period. In Trainiq each variant is its own course with its own prices and its own reminder cycle; for every participant you see per course when which expiry date is coming up.

Do employers automatically get a notification when their employees' BHV certificates expire? +

Yes. When a company is set up in the partner portal, its employees are linked to that partner account. As expiry approaches, the company receives one bundled digest e-mail covering all employees at once, not N separate e-mails. The HR contact can click through from that e-mail to book refresher courses for the whole team.

Can Trainiq use separate rates for open enrolment and in-company training? +

Yes. Per course you can set two prices: an open enrolment price and an in-company price. An in-company request does not create an automatic booking but a request in your admin screen, often with different terms, a venue at the client's site and its own invoicing procedure. Trainiq automatically separates open enrolment sessions and in-company sessions in the overview.

Does Trainiq work with certificates in my own house style? +

Yes. During onboarding you upload your logo, letterhead and signature. After every attended session Trainiq automatically generates a PDF certificate with participant details, course name, date, instructor, certificate number and a QR verification code. Certificates are e-mailed to the participant automatically and stay in their participant portal for download, even years later.
