Trainiq uses functional cookies that are needed to make the Service work. No advertising cookies, no cross-site pixels. On trainiq.nl we also recognise the company behind a visit, so we know which training providers find our site.
Which cookies do we use?

What do we not do?
- No advertising cookies. Trainiq does no retargeting and shares no data with advertising networks.
- No third-party tracking cookies. No Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, HotJar and so on.
- No cross-site profiling. We do not link your visit to your browsing elsewhere.
- No fingerprinting. No canvas, audio or font fingerprinting.
Where does a demo request come from?
When we advertise on Google and you click one of those ads, the link that brings you to trainiq.nl carries a click id and a campaign name. Your browser keeps those two values in temporary session memory (sessionStorage), not in a cookie. They disappear as soon as you close the tab. If you request a demo during that visit, the form sends them along, so we know which ad led to the request. No Google script loads on our site, and nothing is passed to Google other than, afterwards and without your details, that the click led to a request.
What about analytics?
To see which pages are visited we run a self-hosted installation of Umami at analytics.trainiq.nl (on our own Hetzner VPS in Germany). Umami works without cookies and without cross-site tracking. No identifier is stored on your device and visit statistics are aggregated without personal profiles.
Specifically: no IP storage, no user ids, no browser fingerprint. Processing stays on our own EU infrastructure and does not count as a transfer to a third-party sub-processor.
Who visits our website?
On trainiq.nl we use Leadinfo. Leadinfo looks up which company belongs to a visitor's IP address. That shows us that someone from a training provider looked at our pricing page, and tells us whether our site reaches the right people. We do not see names, e-mail addresses or individual visitors.
We run Leadinfo without cookies. Recognition is based on the IP address alone; nothing is stored on your device and nothing is read from it. That costs us some accuracy in the statistics, but we do not need your device for it.
Leadinfo only runs on trainiq.nl, our own website. It is not in the portals where participants, client companies and instructors log in: people do their work there, and marketing does not belong there.
Prefer not to be recognised? Leadinfo's opt-out switches it off for your own visits.
Managing my cookies
Want to delete the remember-me cookie anyway, or stop accepting cookies altogether? You can do that in your browser settings. Keep in mind that logging in no longer works without the session cookie; that is the "functional" role of that cookie.
On trainiq.nl (the marketing site) and in the portals no cookies are required to view public information; only logging in needs a session cookie.
